| Description Another of the spewing heads that we walked straight past on our first perambulation of the cathedral. It forms part of the monument to Simon of Ghent (died 1315), a fine tomb-chest, with a wide ogee arch over it. This spewing lion, with another more quirky partner opposite, crouches at the base of the arch, the foliage spewing out and forming part of the decoration around the arch itself. Also at Salisbury
