| Description The second of three green men in the cloisters of Lacock Abbey, this face also looks slightly female. There is a band across her forhead which is reminiscent of the brow-band of a nun's wimple. The strap-like foliage frames her face attractively, but her mouth is uncomfortably crammed full of leaves. Perhaps this is a warning to the canonesses to beware lest nature take them over and lead them into sin. Also at Lacock Abbey
