A May Queen The first of two peepers here at Horningsham, and also the first of this sub-set of the green man motif that we have found in Wiltshire. This lady is a queen, crowned and peeping out at us from the surrounding foliage. She is serene, but her small mouth and drooping eyelids give her a rather prim, self-satisfied air.
