| Description This grotesque green man forms one of the supporters of the mediaeval roof in Amesbury church. Look for him on the North side of the nave roof at the west end -- he is the second from the West. He is spewing acanthus leaves, and is obviously finding it an unpleasant experience, with his mouth grossly distended and his eyes popping. Also at Amesbury
