General FAQs

1. Q: Who do I contact to get class lists? A: UG office, not Dept.
2. Q: Where else can I find email and class lists? (and numbers for courses) A: BUCS maintain mail lists which are updated overnight from SAMIS here. (Thanks to ANE for this one).
3. Q: Who do I contact about hand-ins? A: UG office - need to prepare SAMIS for the QR code hand-in sheets.
4. Q: Are the pigeon holes secure enough for exam question papers? A: No, large numbers of PGs have access - consider it insecure.
5. Q: Is my post secure then? A: Cannot be guaranteed.
6. Q: Do we have a paper shredder? A: Not any more. Similarly since waste paper disposal is in the same room as pigeon holes it is also insecure.
7. Q: Who do I contact if I need to cancel/re-schedule a lecture? A: The students via the email list and also the Dept office (Emma & Rosie) but NOT the UG office.
8. Q: Who deals with tutorial sheets? A: Dept office.
