sigma-sw regional hub meeting: Ideas exchange and development

University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus

You are invited to attend the next meeting of the Sigma South West Hub.

The main purpose of this first meeting of 2013/14 is to re-establish links between maths support centres and practitioners in the South West and South Wales. The day will be run as an ideas exchange. Please bring with you ideas, resources or processes to share. This might be something which has been successful for dissemination, an idea in the making or something on which you would value input.

In the afternoon we will focus on developing ideas, resource designs and processes further. This will be an opportunity to make or maintain links, to receive input and feedback on current developments and to consider applications which might be made to future funding calls including:

11:00 Arrival
11:15 Sigma network update, Emma Cliffe
11:30 Centre updates and ideas exchange: attendees are invited to update sigma-SW on their maths support centre and to introduce an idea, resource or process for support
13:00 Lunch and networking
14:00 Development of ideas in small groups followed by feedback to the room and discussion of plans to take ideas forward.
16:00 Departure

The meeting will be held at the University of the West of England, a light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
