sigma-sw regional hub meeting - Beyond mathcentre: electronic resources for maths assessment and support

Date/time: Friday 22nd January 2016, 10:30-16:00

Location: Treforest Campus, University of South Wales. The campus is a short train ride from Cardiff - please see travel information.

The first 2015/16 meeting of the sigma South West Hub focused on electronic resources for maths assessment and support beyond the well known mathcentre. The aim of this meeting was for all attendees to leave with new starting points and contacts in their network to assist in exploring the wealth of electronic resources available for use in maths assessment and support.

13:45 Welcome and background to USW, Rhobert Lewis, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Engineering & Science
14:00 Show and tell, All attendees! Each attendee had a few minutes to show and tell about an electronic resources they feel should be in our toolkit. All resources mentioned were added to the sigma SW&SW resources list in the shared drive.
14:45 Exchange, All attendees! Based on the show and tell and the morning talks attendees located a group of people to follow up with, exchange knowledge and experience in use of electronic resources. Refreshments were provided.
