Course Outline

Postgraduate students were invited to attend a two day workshop exploring the use of theatre in qualitative research.

The workshop took place on 10th and 11th May 2011 at the University of Bath.

Through participating in a series of theatre games and activities, participants explored new ways to creatively analyse and represent real-life qualitative data. The workshop drew upon multi-media data taken from existing qualitative research. The workshop was open to postgraduate researchers using any form of qualitative data. The workshop sought to provide a friendly and accessible introduction for researchers with little or no experience of participating in drama or theatre activities.

This was the first time the workshop had been offered at University of Bath. The workshop was funded by the Roberts fund for post-graduate researcher-led training initiatives.
