Funding for UK Students
The university normally has a limited number of fully-funded 3 yr PhD studentships in any area of research available for excellent (1st class) UK candidates. The closing date to apply for these has not yet been announced but is normally in April, although applications will need to be submitted in advance of this date to allow for processing within the dept.
Funding for Non-UK Students
No fully funded studentships are currently available (a scheme for Excellent Overseas students runs each year but the closing date is in January). At present (partial) fee-waiver scholarships from the University of Bath are still available for strong applicants who can fund their living expenses from other sources. These are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis so please let Dr Edler know asap if you would like to be considered for such a fee-waiver scholarship.
To be considered for a project in Dr Edler's group, interested candidates should submit a CV and covering letter, and full contact details of at least two referees to K.Edler@bath.ac.uk. Dr Edler will contact candidates with suitable CV's to discuss possible projects in areas of mutual interest.
