The apartment “OLIVIA” is located in a small quiet village of “HURCHILLO”. The apartment faces south, looking at large hill (mountain). There is a communal pool for the residences. Orihuela is 2 miles to the NW; Torrevieja is 15 miles to the SW. Nearest airports: Alicante 40 miles NE, Murcia 30 miles SE. The village has bars, restaurants, shops, and churches. There is a superstore and golf courses near by. Car hire is essential for sight seeing.

The area is great for walkers, cyclists and twitchers to simply relax by the outdoor swimming pool or sunbathe and have a barbecue on your own rooftop solarium. There are lots of salt lakes around the area which are pink in colour. Just a few kilometers away is a large lake/reservoir, turquoise in colour, a great place to have a picnic or fish, (subject to licence). Beaches are about 25 minutes away and are some of the best in Europe.

Nearby, Orihuela is an inland town that has a lot of history and has been the settlement of several civilisations that have all left their mark. The centre is full of beautiful architecture, churches, public buildings on the River Segura, making it a wonderful town to visit. Visit the monastery to enjoy lovely views of the town.
