I am at present a Laboratory Technician at the University of Bath in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

I was born on the 14th February 1959 at 21 Martints Croft , Colerne, Chippenham, Wiltshire. At the age of two moved to Windy Ridge, Bath Road, Colerne. My father and mother are Leonard Edward Brain and Eileen Mary Brain, I have two brothers David Edward and Ian Antony Brain.

I have been a keen photographer , and gardener. I like swimming avoid the car and house work if possible. When I was fifteen I developed an interest in flying and took up Gliding at Bannerdown Gliding Club. I have also been a Parish Councilor.

My first full time Job was at GEC Mechanical Handling Melksham. . I changed jobs to Stothert & Pitts Bath due to factory relocation. When S & P closed I took up my present position at the University of Bath.

When I was 24 I decided I couldn't live happily all my life and got married in October 1983 to Anita Bowler. The wedding took place at Colerne parish church. We purchased a ex ministry house on Thickwood Estate, Colerne.
