Research Interests
My broad research interest is social cognitive neuroscience. More specifically,
I am interested in the neural, cognitive, and behavioural mechanisms involved in social
and emotional processes in typically developing and developed individuals, and how
these mechansism differ in those with various psychiatric conditions. The main areas
of social and emotional processing I am interested in includes face-processing, emotions
and expressions, gaze-processing, intentionality, social attention, theory of mind, and the
development of these abilities. I have been studying these areas in children and adults of
typical development, and those with autism spectrum conditions, schizophrenia, synaesthesia,
and various anxiety conditions. My research involves various methodologies including MRI,
gaze-tracking, computer-behavioural, cognitive bias modification, and genotyping paradigms.
