The Team
Chris
Davey, 52
Bath, U.K. Technician in Biology and Biochemistry Department
at the University of Bath. Parents worked in West Africa
when he was young; he reports one of his earliest memories
is of being carried on the substantial rack of a typical
African bike to my father’s laboratory to deliver
his lunch. Many years later, his mother returned to
Nigeria to work as a teacher and he saw first-hand the
importance of bicycles for transport in rural communities
and the multitude of uses to which they are put.
