WMD Overview

The research group of Dr. Aron Walsh, a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Reader in the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies and the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bath.

Our research uses atomistic computer simulations to solve physical problems and understand chemical processes at the nano-scale.

Beyond computational materials chemistry, our research also concerns computer-controlled materials printing. Our work covers the physical and chemical properties of oxides and other functional materials, including chalcogenide alloys and hybrid organic-inorganic frameworks, for applications involving energy conversion, storage and transport.
