Andrew is currently working on moving mesh methods for global atmospheric modelling, alongside Chris Budd. This project is in direct collaboration with Hilary Weller and Phil Browne, from the University of Reading, and Colin Cotter and Jemma Shipton, from Imperial College London.
He was formerly a PhD student at Imperial College London, under the supervision of Colin Cotter and David Ham. His PhD thesis was titled Compatible finite element methods for atmospheric dynamical cores.
He actively contributes towards the Firedrake project for the highly automated solution of partial differential equations using the finite element method, and once used FreeFem++.
